Hi, I’m Marcelio Leal!
I am a Brazilian from Pará (real Amazon). I work with technology and am curious about many things, like learning and education, leadership, music, governance, sports, startups, behavior economy, and psychology. Currently, I am an Engineering Lead at Google, working on the counter-abuse for Egregious Harms Protections (CSAM, NCII, VE, etc.).
I build teams that build great products for startups and tech companies. For the past two decades, I worked for companies like Nubank, Amazon, GetYourGuide, BHub, QEdu, Tripda, Dafiti, SiteApps, among others. You can see it in detail on my LinkedIn.
Beyond that, I work as a consultant, auditor, and advisor for Startups, and I am an active member in some communities and events. Currently, I am a co-founder of Beyond Tech Conference and an advisor at E-station.
I lived in 3 cities, and currently, I am in Vila Madalena and Pinheiros, São Paulo, most of the time (others are Belém-PA in Brazil, and Berlin in Germany). I am a kitesurfer, and from July you can see me in Ceará or Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. I love deep conversations, life histories, traveling, and cultures.
